Craps Bets

Pass Line Bet
Placing a Pass Line bet, you are betting that the shooter rolls the established point before rolling a 7, or you are betting that the initial roll will be either a 7 or 11. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, the player loses. Anything else, and the bet stands.

Don’t Pass Line Bets
This bet is basically the opposite of the Pass line Bet. If the initial roll is a 2 or 3, the player wins, 12 ties, and 7 or 11 loses. Once the point has been established, the player wins if the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point.

Betting the Odds
Once the point has been established, the player can bet 2 or more times the amount of their original bet that the point will be rolled before a 7.

Laying the Odds
This is the opposite of Betting the odds. Here the player is betting that a 7 will be rolled before the established point is rolled.

Come Bet
This bet is similar to the Pass Line bet, but the player can make this bet at anytime.

Don’t Come
This bet is just like the Come Bet, but is made in the non-come out roll.

Place Numbers Bet
The place numbers are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. Players can place bets on any number(s) at any time.

Big 6
The player is betting that a 6 will be rolled before a 7.

Big 8
The player is betting that an 8 will be rolled before a 7.

Buy Bets
These bets are the same as place bets, except there is a 5% commission on all pays.

Hardways
This bet can be placed on 4, 6, 8, or 10. The player is betting that the number chosen will be rolled before a 7. However, for this to pay, the dice roll will have to consist of identical numbers adding up to the total number bet on.

Lay Bet
This is the opposite of a buy bet. Here the player is betting that a 7 will be rolled before the number chosen. There is a 5% commission on these types of bets.

Place Bet
This is similar to laying and odds bet. A player can bet that 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 will be rolled before the 7. However, with the place bet, you do not have to have a bet on the pass-line or point.

Field Bet
The player is betting that a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 will be rolled. If a 3, 4, 9, 10 or 11 is rolled, the player is paid even money. If a 2 or 12 is rolled, the player is paid 2 to 1.

Hop Bet
This bet can be made at anytime with the dealer as to which number will be rolled next. This bet can be placed on 1 or 2 numbers at a time.

Put Bet
The player places a pass-line or come bet after the point has been established, and is betting on the odds as well.

Proposition Bet
This bet wins or loses on the next roll after the bet is placed. See Odds and Payouts section for examples of this type of bet.
